1. Introductory Provisions

The Operating Rules regulate mutual relationships between children, legal guardians, lecturers during the provision of extracurricular education and leisure activities.

3.     Services provided

Salomon Family o.p.s. (hereinafter referred to as the "Centre") is a non-profit organisation providing the following non-profit services:

  • Education of preschool children
  • Leisure activities
  • Support of the relationship between legal representatives and the child
  • Consultations in the field of upbringing and education of preschool children
  • Supporting the healthy development of the child
  • Organization of health and sports activities and stays
  • Language Teaching
  • Lending of literature on children's topics
  • Associations of legal representatives interested in alternative education
  • Cooperation with educational institutions, foundations and maternity centres that have the same goals in their programme
  • Support and prevention programs for children, youth and adults

4.   Operation of the centre:

4. 1. The main focus of the centre is preschool education at Salomon Family Preschool

Children enrolled in the Salomon Family Preschool program are divided into 2 groups according to age. The headmistress decides on the total capacity in each group, according to the maturity and language skills of the children, so that educational activities can take place in a quality and safe way.

  • Group – Younger children – age 3–5 years, capacity 12–14 children, 2 pedagogical staff
  • Group – Preschool preparatory school – age 5–6 years, capacity 8–10 children. 1 lecturer

Teaching is provided based on a cooperation agreement by lecturers who are part of a permanent team.

4. 2. The centre is open all day: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Parents or guardians are obliged to accompany the child to the kindergarten and hand him over in person to the lecturer of the Centre from 8 to 9 a.m., or a second arrival at 9:45 a.m., so as not to disrupt the course of education. In justified cases, a doctor or other reasons will arrange arrival outside these times in advance.

The timetable is flexibly adapted if necessary, so that all activities are carried out with regard to the interests and needs of children so that the psychogenic conditions of education are respected.

4.3. Educational activities

Educational activities -  Salomon Family Preschool educational program based on the Framework Educational Program of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports. Legal representatives can find information about the program on the center's website, in the Twigsee application, and paper form in the center building.

5. Catering and drinking regime

Meals for children take place at recommended times according to the daily schedule, which can be adapted to the needs of the children if necessary. For those interested, the center will arrange lunch delivery from Mosaica Catering. Lunch – soup, main course is delivered hot in a thermobox. When serving food, a water bath is used to maintain the proper temperature of the food during service. An authorized person serves food to the children while maintaining hygienic conditions. Children bring their snacks and drinks/or from Mosaica Catering. Children's drinks are continuously replenished. 

6. Another focus of the centre is leisure activities – hobby groups, language lessons

They take place according to the approved schedule in the afternoon during or after the operation. Individual instructors of the clubs are responsible for their course and the safety of children at this time. The offer of these activities is adapted to the interest of clients and the time possibilities of the lecturers.

7. Hygienic and anti-epidemic regime

7.1. Method and intensity of ventilation

To ensure a suitable microclimate in the rooms, ventilation is carried out regularly, depending on the current air quality: intensive ventilation in the morning before the start of operation, short intensive ventilation during the day/walk, and before the children's afternoon rest.

7.2. Air temperature: The play areas are heated to 20 °C to 22 °C. The present lecturers present in the room check according to the wall thermometer.

7.3. Lighting: Rooms are sufficiently lit by daylight and artificial light. Protection against glare is provided by roller shutters in the windows. The surfaces of the work surfaces are not glossy.

7.4. Basic hygiene rules regard to COVID-19 or other infectious diseases

  • Every time they arrive at the center, children wash their hands with soap and warm water
  • Hand sanitizers available for workers and arrivals
  • Classrooms and other areas are intensively ventilated
  • Cleaning and disinfection of sanitary facilities takes place several times a day
  • increased disinfection of surfaces used by a larger number of people (e.g. door handles, switches
  • lights, faucets for washbasins, flushes, keyboards, and computer mice)
  • When serving food, children are not allowed to self-service, plates and cutlery are distributed by an authorized person

7.5. Steps to take when a disease is suspected

  • If symptoms of infection are detected upon arrival at the center, the child is not admitted to the center to protect other children and staff.
  • If symptoms occur during the day – the child will be isolated from other children, in a separate room where they will be supervised by a lecturer (a mask is offered to the child and the supervisor), and the legal guardian will be informed to pick up the child immediately.
  • In the event of ordered quarantine for the entire centre, preschool children are educated remotely as specified in the centre's school rules.

8. Method of ensuring the exchange and storage of laundry and cleaning

8.1. Changing and washing clothes

  • Bedding should be washed once every 3 weeks or immediately if necessary.
  • In the event of an infectious disease, towels and bed linen should be changed immediately.
  • Used towels and bed linen are washed in a washing machine designed only for this purpose in a way that clean laundry does not come into contact with dirty laundry.
  • Bedding is stored separately for each child in its own ventilated shelf.
  • Bedding shelves are regularly ventilated and disinfected once a month.
  • Beds are disinfected 2 times a year during the winter and summer holidays.

8.2. Method and frequency of cleaning

Daily:

• Wipe off moisture: all floors, furniture

• Using detergents with a disinfectant effect, washing washbasins, toilets

bowls, toilet seats, flush buttons, and handles

• Taking out the garbage

• Cleaning the carpet with a vacuum cleaner

Weekly:

• Washing washable parts of the walls in toilets and disinfecting washrooms and toilets

• Use disinfectant to wipe floor surfaces, furniture

2 times a year:

• Washing of windows, including frames

• Washing the lighting

• General cleaning of all school areas and outdoor front garden

As needed:

• Painting and repairs, replacement of toys and furniture

9. Front garden

  • The front garden is not open to the public, it is always locked after the end of the day's operation.
  • Entry to the front garden is only possible in the presence of a lecturer and is intended only for children of the Centre.
  • Responsibility for daily cleaning, regular daily visual inspection of the playground elements, condition check is the present lecturer who reports any defects. It also checks before entering the area whether there are dangerous objects (syringes, sharp objects, dead animals, other impurities). The sandpit is covered with a breathable net to prevent pollution by animals, leaves and other impurities. Sand replacement is carried out after 2-3 years.
  • In the winter months, usually from October to February, the front garden is winterized, entry is not allowed.

10. Safety of children and workers and others

The safety of children, workers and other persons is governed by internal regulations and detailed internal instructions, which are available in the entrance areas of the Centre – notice board.
